Salmon Carcass Seeding-lack of carcasses limits seeding projects
In the Upper Rogue, Salmon Carcass seeding has become a bit of a tradition the last few years. Because of a shortage of carcasses at the Cole Rivers Hatchery the only carcass seeding in the Rogue Basin will be on Taylor Creek near Galice, in the Middle Rogue Watershed Council area. ODFW is limited by the extremely low number of carcasses at Cole Rivers Hatchery- only 250. In previous years there have been thousands of carcasses available.
