Little Butte Creek Watershed Council Photo Contest 2009

Purpose:

1. Increase knowledge and awareness of the Little Butte Creek Watershed (LBCW)

2. Encourage community involvement

3. Offset the cost of local monitoring or other watershed activities

Incentive:

1. Photo credit wherever displayed

2. Dinner for two (or equivalent business donation)

3. Prizes for top entries in each main category

Photo requirements:

1. 8 X 10 (can be submitted digitally or by negative) color photo

2. Digital photo quality must be minimum 300 dpi (highest quality preferred)

3. Photo can be submitted to LBCWC Website

4. Contestant agrees to give up rights to LBCWC

5. Contest to start July 1 and ends December 31, 2009

6. Photo must be from within the LBCW – indicate subject, location and date (view the watershed map at the Harnish Wayside to verify boundaries)

Natural:

• Landscapes

• Details of nature

• Wildlife

• Trees

• Wild blooms

• Running water

• Invasive species

Man-made:

• Structures

• Irrigation system components

• Restoration/enhancement work

• Farming/ranching

Especially encouraged:

• Underwater wildlife

• Unique natural settings

• Natural oddities

Not allowed or considered:

• Wild pets

• Wood house
